"Friends of the sick" announced at a press conference in Asharqia Chamber yesterday.
Sulaiman Bin Abdulrahman Al Suhaimi, vice Chairman of the Board of
Directors of Al Suhaimi Holding Company, said that the idea of Al
Suhaimi Center for the treatment of developmental disorders, behavioral, rehabilitation and autism in the Eastern Region was based on
the principle of solidarity and social solidarity.

also praised the support of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef
bin Abdulaziz, Prince of the Eastern Region and Honorary Chairman of
the Friends of Patients Committee in the Eastern Region. His Highness Sheikh Muhammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Al Suhaimi
said that when considering a charity project to serve the people of the
region, a number of specialists put forward a number of ideas and
various projects to implement them. After consultation with the experts
and specialists in this field, the idea of this vital project was
chosen. Especially those who need rehabilitation after suffering various
injuries due to traffic accidents or heart attacks, and
therefor we have expanded the circle of interest to expand to the largest
segment of the beneficiaries.
For
his part, the Director General of Health Affairs in the Eastern Region
and Chairman of the Committee of Friends of Patients in the region, Dr.
Saleh Al Saluke, that the charity project meets the suffering by parents of children with autism, pointing that one of
the most important goals is to serve this expensive group and providing
ways to treat them to ensure their safety And
their health from any injuries that may be exposed to them because of
their childish errors and thus exposure to other disabilities, and that
there are children with motor disabilities need to be qualified with
medical treatment, such as rehabilitation of the difficulty of
pronunciation as well as correct the behavior of some children and there
are many children It suffers difficult suffering from disorders of growth, adding that
the eastern region recorded more than 20 thousand children suffering
from a variety of disabilities.
As
for the details of the project, the behavior explained that the center
consists of eight roles, which were distributed according to the vision
and need of the general administration of health affairs, where the
first and second roles were allocated for administrative work,
outpatient clinics and ambulances. The six roles were also devoted to
therapeutic specialties, Healthy, medical and psychological with this group of children during the treatment period and the subsequent stage.
He
pointed that the center is located on a large area of the
maternity and children hospital in Dammam at a cost of more than 12
million riyals, which takes 18 months to build, noting that the work of
the project started already in mid of Ramadan.
